Volunteer vacancies in Devon and Dorset

Our volunteer opportunities fit into three categories. You will receive training for all roles and some volunteer training leads to accredited qualifications.

Recovery Coach

This role is open to existing volunteers with personal lived experience. We offer a level 3 qualification in Recovery Coaching with the purpose of the role being to provide one-to-one support to service users who are ready to move on from structured treatment and continue their recovery journey independently in the community. If you are interested in the Recovery Coach role, please mention this when applying.

Volunteer

Volunteers are involved in all areas of the service. We welcome applications from people with a wide variety of skills, experiences and backgrounds. Many of our volunteers have personal lived experience of recovery, or supporting family members and friends who have experienced addiction. Several of our volunteers come to EDP services to learn more about addiction and how best to offer support. We match volunteers’ skills and interests to areas of need within the service.

Peer Mentor

This role is a stepping stone into volunteering for people with lived experience of recovery. It celebrates all that recovery has to offer and provides inspiration and motivation to others seeking to make changes themselves.

Devon

We are not currently recruiting new volunteers and peer mentors. We are working closely with HumanKind to align our recruitment and support for all volunteer roles and will update as soon as we can. Please keep checking back for new and exciting volunteer opportunities to come.
