Needles by post

If you have trouble accessing our needle exchanges in person and live in Dorset we can send supplies to you by post

Why we use a delivery service

Although we offer a really comprehensive service at our in-person needle exchanges, getting a supply of fresh needles is not always easy for everyone. This new postal service is available to residents of Dorset, makes it really accessible and easy for you to stay safe and it’s reassuring for you to know that you won’t run out of equipment. This is a completely free service and means you can order clean injecting equipment, the life saving drug naloxone and other essential supplies direct to your home discreetly and in complete confidence. REACH, Humankind’s Dorset service is working with Orion to offer this service

How do I order?

  • Follow this link: https://orionmedical.co.uk/humankind-home-delivery-information-form/ and fill out some basic information about yourself
  •  Choose the products you need, ideally to last you for 4 weeks and check out. Don’t forget to pop some Naloxone in your basket as well – it could save someone you know’s life.
  • Your order will normally arrive in the post within 1-2 days in plain, non-identifiable packaging.

Don't forget that we don't just exchange needles

If you are able to make it into one of our needle exchange locations, you’ll get much more than fresh needles. Our staff are there to check on your general health, look after any wounds from injection sites, test you for blood borne viruses like Hep C and HIV and of course offer some really sensible harm reduction advice.
