“I rarely write my experiences online however I felt in this case it was important. My mental health and dependencies were at an all time low when I was introduced to Together. I was reticent about facing up to my demons but I also realised I had hit an all time low. My initial meeting with my Co worker set all my worries aside. Nick was kind, considerate and mostly totally understanding of the state or my mental health and using. Over the last year he has shown patience, empathy and also been a pillar of strength. Always there when I have a wobble or when life gets too much which I think in these current times, many people are facing. I used to hate talking to anyone about my issues and sometimes, (all too often) my usage and self medication, but over time and because Nick doesn’t judge or berate, he supports me and helps me deal with all sorts of issues, not just drug and alcohol related, I look forward to our meetings. I really didn’t think I would have come this far without Nick and the team at Together. I would say to anyone who is worried or needs support to contact Together. They are all accommodating and the support network has been a blessing and I thank everyone, most of all Nick for being there when I most needed it. Thank you.”
