Volunteer with us
At EDP we are extremely grateful for our volunteers.
It means a lot to us that people would offer their time, skills and creativity to help those who are dealing with issues around their drug and alcohol use.
There are lots of different types of roles volunteers can choose to do at EDP, depending both on what our service areas need and the experience and skills you have. You can choose to work in the community or prison, in Devon or Dorset. Once you have made the decision to apply to be a volunteer with EDP please follow the link below and fill in an application form and our Volunteer and Peer Mentor Manager will be in touch.
We look forward to having you as part of our team!
I decided to get involved in volunteering for HMP Exeter. From day one everyone has made me feel welcome. The team are fantastic in what they do, and really care about their clients. I have learned plenty of new skills, and gained lots of knowledge throughout the past year, and different experiences.
The service that they provide is a very valuable one, offering support, guidance and clinical observations, undertaking assessments and aiming to help each individual client, respective of their own different needs. They truly want the best for each person that they see, and aim to help them in anyway that they can. I have loved my time here, and would recommend volunteering here to others, it certainly is a valuable and rewarding experience.
