Sessional Recovery Navigators – Devon
Location: Opportunities for sessional/bank work across Devon including Bideford, Barnstable, Exeter, Honiton and Newton Abbot
Hourly Rate: £11.93 per hour
EDP are looking to build our bank of sessional Recovery Navigators to cover shifts across our Devon Together service.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, Recovery Navigators deliver an integrated service through the provision of assessment, recovery planning, appropriate referral/linkage and psychosocial interventions. In this role, day to day duties will involve delivering a range of interventions including key-working, strengths based assessment, recovery planning, and structured group and 1:1 work. You’ll manage a case load in partnership with a prescribing nurse so experience of case load management is important.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the field of substance misuse, however we will consider equivalent experience working with other groups of vulnerable adults. You’ll have a good understanding of group working and group dynamics, and will be able to demonstrate competent group work facilitation skills. Knowledge of safeguarding is also important.
You’ll need to hit the ground running, so excellent organisation, time management and communications skills will be key to help you understand and work with our service and our service users. You’ll be confident managing your own priorities in order to carry a diverse workload with competing demands.
How to apply
To indicate your interest in joining our bank of sessional workers, please download and complete a Sessional Application Form and return this to firstname.lastname@example.org
If your background and experience look suitable, one of our colleagues will then be in touch to discuss your application and talk you through the rest of our interview and onboarding process.
Please note that we require all our staff to complete a DBS check and reference checks, so any offer of work will be subject to these.
EDP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. Candidates are subject to additional checks including DBS (to the appropriate level) and prison vetting – details will be specified as part of the vacancy details. Outcomes of these additional checks will be considered before any offer/appointment is confirmed.
