About the role 

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a highly rewarding sector with some truly inspirational service users and colleagues. The Senior Healthcare Assistant reports to our Lead Independent Prescriber and is responsible for supporting and assisting in the provision of a range of healthcare interventions. 

You will be working with Together Drug & Alcohol Services, based in our Barnstaple hub, with some clinics held at our satellites in the surrounding North Devon towns. 

Day-to-day duties include: 

  • Supporting the clinical team with healthcare assessments and treatments 
  • Undertaking clinical supervisions 
  • Providing harm reduction support, information and advice to individuals in relation to substance misuse.  
  • Supporting colleagues in relation to detoxifications. 
     

About you 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals to make positive change.  You will need experience in a clinical/healthcare setting, ideally with clinical experience relating to substance misuse, although this is not essential. In addition, you will also have the following: 

  • A knowledge and understanding of policies related to safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults 
  • Ability to deliver high quality healthcare 
  • Experience of immunisation (desirable)

Support, trust and man sharing in group therapy with understanding, feelings and talking in session. Mental health, addiction or depression, men and women with therapist sitting together for healing.

£24,629 – £25,701 per annum, pro-rata (£11,329.34 – £11,822.46 per annum)
