Our service in HMP Dartmoor has been offering the Social Enterprise Qualification and one participants has started a magazine called Timeline, selling it to other prisoners and staff for a £1 with all proceeds going to charity ‘Friends of Grendon’. The Other Side of Addiction exhibition finalised

Thanks to Caroline Quentin, Simon Ripley, Mary Stevenson and Phillip Hawkins for their help yesterday in finalising ‘The Other side of Addiction’ exhibition. There were a lot of excellent submissions of all media with the exhibition including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and creative writing. RISE, our service in Devon ran in partnership with Addaction, is offering an exciting Photography course called ‘Gratitude in Recovery’ to those accessing its services in Exeter. Moving on Programme Impact Report

EDP has published an impact report of The Moving on Programme which has supported people to develop skills and knowledge for effective transition into education, training, volunteering or employment for a number of years. 176 community participants since January 2011 39 participants took part within prisons from May 2014 100% of prison participants achieved NOCN accreditation for two modules 120 people gained a NOCN Level One qualification and 63 gained a level two qualification 47 service users reported significant increases in their confidence 57 service users showed substantial increase in their self esteem Nearly 100% of service users said the programme...Moving on Programme Impact Report

Waitrose supports EDP’s Work

Last week EDP received a cheque for £380 from Exeter Waitrose which was raised via their Community Matters initiative. A peer supporter from RISE Exeter, and Kat Watts, Fundraising and Marketing Officer, received the cheque from Pat  Tranter, Exeter Waitrose Community Matters Champion. The Other Side of Addiction

Later this year EDP will be holding an Exhibition at the Exeter Phoenix called ‘The Other Side of Addiction’ from 27th May until 27th June.   The exhibition’s aim is to challenge the stigma and stereotypes that are associated with addiction. Poltimore Transforming Lives project gets funding boost
