What we do:

  • Manage a forum for charities and other agencies working to rehabilitate offenders or carry out other charitable purposes in the field of criminal justice (‘relevant organisations’). It is anticipated that the forum will: 
  • act as a bridge between charities, statutory agencies and other relevant organisations to help them exchange information and collaborate to more effectively deliver their work to rehabilitate offenders and pursue other charitable activities in the field of criminal justice
  • help identify gaps in the range of charitable services provided by charities and non-charitable agencies working in the field of criminal justice in Devon
  • Co-ordinating charities, statutory agencies and other non-charitable agencies working to rehabilitate offenders or carry out other charitable purposes in the field of criminal justice.
  • The dissemination of national information relevant to forum members and other relevant organisations in Devon.
  • Delivering workshops and other training events for relevant organisations.
  • Holding events and less formal meetings to facilitate communication between relevant organisations.
  • Bringing relevant organisations together to work collaboratively to more effectively deliver their charitable activities.
  • Providing the prison and probation services and other statutory agencies with feedback to enable them to more effectively rehabilitate offenders or carry out other charitable purposes in the field of criminal justice.
  • Run projects designed to involve service users effectively in the development of relevant charitable services e.g. clinical commissioning groups.
  • To make available via a web-site, email lists and other means Information and news regarding relevant policy changers, tenders and events.
