EDP Welcomes Two New Trustees

EPD was very fortunate in recruiting the expertise of two new Trustees at the AGM in December, Birgitte Aga and David Bickerton.  Here we meet Birgitte, or B as she is more commonly known.

Birgitte has been working within the area of social innovation and entrepreneurship in the UK since 1998 when she co-founded the social enterprise Submerge, a response to the lack of opportunities available for young people between graduating from higher education and finding opportunities of employment, entrepreneurship and business development. Since 2004 she has been running her own consultancy with a specialism within digital technologies, social media and innovation for social, cultural and economic gain.  Of her new appointment as Trustee, B says:

"I feel great synergy and empathy with EDP’s mission and passionately believe that in our globalised world where mankind’s activities are affecting the entire planet, we are dependent on individuals and organisations such as EDP to create positive social change."
